A couple of months have gone by since I purchased these Rock & Republic spiked booties, I stumbled across them on shopbop and immediately purchased them! Who could resist this shoe? I did not hesitant. A nude peep toed bootie with silver spike detailing is such a perfect unexpected touch. With the fall season right around the corner I can finally put them to use! And yes, my toe nails are leopard printed, thanks to Sally Hansen! Stay tuned to see how I wear them.

printed knits
{shorts & tee: Forever 21, blazer: H&M, heels: Steven by Steve Madden}
The sunshine after the rain, Sunday was filled with a mixture of rain, thunder and sunshine; however, I was able to sneak out for a bit. Perfect weather for a blazer and shorter hem, fall really is right around the corner. A white tee is one of my fave go to items, so easy to dress up or wear casually, so don't be surprised when they are a frequent item on my posts! Everyone has that one item, what is yours?

fall obsessions
The last few days have left a taste of Autumn in my mouth, the gloomy weather and cooler temperatures have quickly reminded me how quickly the fall season is approaching. I can't help but be excited for all the fall fashion, however, there a few items that I must add to my wardrobe this year.
Button up tops with cut out shoulders, leather bottoms and V Throat booties are my current fall obsessions.
What are you looking forward to wearing?

hazel, be mine!
It is official! Operation: Rescue baby Hazel accomplished!! I "captured" Hazel on Thursday and dropped her off at the vet so tests can be ran. On Friday, I received the news that all the tests came back clear and she is perfectly healthy aka Hazel was officially mine! Hazel is loving every minute of her new home, playing and eating non stop. For the first day or two she rarely came out of the crate (that I used to capture her, it was her safe haven) and now she is out and about all the time! We couldn't be any happier!
Some of the pics may be a little dark as I took them on my iPhone. Thank you for the well wishes! xo.

mix -n- match
Lower 80's today with a breeze, just beautiful out! I love mixing and matching, leopard print is more like a neutral when doing so, for it me it pretty much goes with anything! Pairing unexpected items.. "live a little." I paired this striped dress with espadrille flats and jean jacket to keep the look casual and balance out the mini dress.
Have a great weekend! xo

meet hazel
For those of you who follow me on twitter know I have been constantly speaking about a stray kitten, whom I named Hazel, these past couple of days. I was taking my trash out one day and noticed her but did not pay it much attention (thinking she belonged to someone) until I began to see her every day hanging around the dumpster scouring for food. Being the huge animal lover that I am, I immediately went to buy her food and a toy and began feeding her every day. My daily routine after I get home from work now consists of hanging around a stinky dumpster, bugs and all, so baby Hazel can get use to me so I can rescue her and take her in! Though she is getting use to me, she will not allow me to touch her or pick her up.
I have made numerous calls today to Animal Control and the Humane Society for assistance in capturing her, so I will be setting up a "trap" which will basically lead her into a cage and not harm her in any way, take her to the vet, hopefully she passes all the tests so I can officially take her home and start showering her with lots of love. WISH ME LUCK PLEASE! Operation: Rescue Baby Hazel in full effect!

the jeffrey
Stumbled upon these and find myself completely obsessed with these Jeff's! In my collection of shoes, I do not own one pair of metallic heels (never been a true fan of metallic shoes) but the mixture of hues and texture has my mind already running wild with the numerous ways to wear these! Or there is the neutral toned paired, you can never have too many neutrals, in my opinion.
Which color do you prefer?

double layered
{skirt: American Apparel tee: Forever 21 sandals: Steve Madden}
Finally taking advantage of one of my recent purchases. Paired this double layered sheer maxi with a basic tee (I love my tee's) - knotted to the side to show of the high waist and attempt to keep somewhat cool. I was also super excited to try out my new coral nail polish 'Peachy' by Revlon.

the button up take 2
Feeding off my last post, you already are aware of my new found love for button up tops. In midst of this heatwave, I still manage to find time to wear a long sleeve. A button up can be worn numerous of ways, this time I chose to wear mine casually, even though I have on heels, the cut-off denims keep this outfit low key for me. Showing off some skin in these temps which is why I went with something a little more covered up on the top.

the button up
I have been noticing button up shirts appear more frequently in my wardrobe. At a point and time, I only considered button up tops to be worn only on the day job, and that was it. I had confined this top to strictly 9-to-5 attire, never considered wearing it outside of a work environment. How "times" have changed, a button up has become a huge staple in my wardrobe, being paired with anything from cut off denim to dressing up for a night out. This item is quickly becoming a go-to piece for me, easy to throw on and easy to mix and match. It is funny how fashion is constantly changing, certain items that I thought I would never wear, I am. I guess that is why they say, never say never.
Though I have shared this post on my old blog, I wanted to share with my new readers! I chose a sheer lightweight top for this printed skirt. I have a huge penchant for not matching to the tee and going with an unexpected item.
I will do another post with more ways to wear a button up (in the summer) since I am all about them now. I find it completely ironic that I have adapted to wearing long sleeves in the summer, does anyone else? Like I said times have changed..

new additions
For those that follow me on Twitter know that I have mentioned a few recent purchases that I've made, items that I had my eye on and finally decided to make it official and welcome them into my closet. It feels so good to have your mind set on something and the joy you feel when it is finally yours!
New additions include: a double layered sheer maxi skirt, gingham button up and mint high-waisted ankle pants. I can not wait to wear them!
